New Michael Jackson album to be released

A new Michael Jackson album, featuring eight new tracks from the late artist’s archive, will be released on 13 May.

Titled Xscape, the track listing was chosen by Epic Records chairman LA Reid, who trawled

through four decades of Jackson’s demos and off-cuts.t

The tracks were then updated by the likes of Timbaland, who works with Justin Timberlake, and Stargate, who have produced Rihanna and Beyonce.

Reid called the process of reworking the songs “contemporizing”.

A deluxe edition of the album will also feature the eight tracks in their original form alongside the remixed versions.

Xscape is the only track on the album to be updated by its original producer – Rodney Jerkins, who worked on the sessions for Jackson’s final studio album, Invincible, in 2001.

Sean Kingston's vehicles

Everything You Need To Know About Sean Kingston

As one of the leaders of the reggae fusion scene, Sean Kingston has transformed many perceptions on typical Jamaican music. He rose to fame during his late teens when he was discovered on MySpace by a recording executive. In 2007, Sean graced the airwaves with his first hit single “Beautiful Girls.” Since then, Sean has continued to be prominent in modern reggae and hip-hop, and his fame has helped him pursue other endeavors.
Sean was born in Miami, but he moved to Jamaica as a child. His family hit hard times during his youth, and the future artist himself was even arrested for burglary. However, Sean aimed to make a name for himself. He made his big break in 2007 with his self-titled album Sean Kingston. Sean continues to make Jamaican-inspired tunes with an edge of rap and hip-hop. Back 2 Life is the singer’s third, and most recent studio album.
Aside from the music, Sean has pursued other endeavors close to his heart. He has been involved with the “Do Something” campaign, which promotes community activism. As a lover of animals, Sean has also been a spokesperson against dog cruelty with PETA.

Shakira has become the most popular person on Facebook with 86.3m fans.

The `Hips Don`t Lie` hitmaker is closely followed by Rihanna, who has 86.2m “likes”, while Eminem secured the third position with 83.9 “likes”.

That puts her ahead of Rihanna – with whom she recently teamed up on the duet Can’t Remember To Forget You -who has a mere 86.2m Facebook fans – and rapper Eminem, among others.

And Shakira has since taken to her page to tell everybody just how grateful she is for their support.

‘I always wanted to have a lot of friends but I never imagined it would be so many,’ she insisted, adding that she was ‘so humbled’ by the news.

The room was heaving with supermodels at last night's Sports Illustrated party but all eyes were on a woman who is about to turn 60. Yes, 60.

Among a bevy of twenty-something glamours supermodel veteran Christie Brinkley stood out. With killer legs, honey-blonde locks, a megawatt smile and the confidence that comes with knowing you look incredible, Brinkley showed us that age doesn't have to be a barrier in Hollywood.
In just over two weeks, Christie Brinkley will celebrate her 60th birthday but she rocked a black dress at the A-list event last night like she wasn't a day over 20.
Brinkley gained worldwide fame in the 80s with three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers.
The four-times-married mother of three is obviously genetically blessed, but she says her youthful look is down to yoga and eating lots of vegetables.
Pass us the broccoli!
Other models in attendance were Aussie Jessica Gomes and Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland Baldwin.
What do you think of Brinkley's look? Tell us in the comments below.

Jessica Gomes says she’s proud to be celebrated as one of world’s most beautiful bikini bodies

AUSSIE supermodel Jessica Gomes says she is proud to be celebrated as one of the world’s most beautiful bikini bodies.
Gomes, who features in the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (SISI) for the seventh year in a row, told Confidential: “There are many blessings. It makes you a household in America.
“My idols are (SISI alumni) Elle MacPherson, Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks. It’s a big blessing to be associated with that calibre of women.
“The curse,” she added, “is you can be categorised as just a swimsuit model, but I think attitudes are changing.
“SISI models are healthy, glowing, and all about personality and having fun at the beach.
“And being posted on the wall of every boy in America — maybe that’s a curse.
She laughed: “No, that’s a blessing.”
The Perth-born beauty’s blessings at home also continue to rise.
Gomes, a David Jones ambassador, will hit the catwalk for the retail giant at the Virgin Australia Fashion Festival in Melbourne on Monday night.
David Jones has also announced a three year strategic alliance with Crown Resorts as the exclusive fashion partner of Crown’s annual Autumn Racing Ladies Lunch.

Lady Gaga’s charity raises $2M, only spends $5,000

In 2011 Lady Gaga, along with mom Cynthia Germanotta, founded the Born This Way Foundation, dedicated to “creating a safe community that helps connect young people with the skills and opportunities they need to build a kinder, braver world.” Which is the kind of vague statement that can mean a lot of things, or more likely, nothing at all.

After Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman published a breakdown of the non-profit’s financials, we’re leaning towards nothing at all. If anything, the mission of the foundation is to benefit the foundation.

Essentially, the organisation claimed $2.1 million in net assets and proceeded to spend the bulk of it on legal fees, event production, the website, publicity and other various expenses. Of that 2.1 million, 5,000 dollars was spent on “grants to organizations or individuals.” Unnecessary expenditures are the kinds of things that happen when well-intentioned people who know nothing about the business of running a charity start running a charity.

Cynthia Germanotta took to the Huffington Post to defend the organization expenditures, claiming “. . . we are an organisation that conducts our charitable activity directly, and we fund our own work. We are not a grant-maker that funds the work of other charities, and were never intended to be.” One example of that work was a Born Brave Bus Tour which aimed to raise mental health awareness and offered therapy on the bus. Alrighty then.

The whole debacle is probably a good reminder for people looking to donate money to a cause to look into where their money actually goes. Or more specifically, whether that money is actually making change or funding a millionaire’s vague vanity project.
